这个升压变压器的匝比设计必须考虑到逆变在直流母线电压最低的情况下能够输出的电压。在市电模式下，如果直流母线电压最低是400V，那么逆变桥臂输出的电压最高可以设定在260V，这是考虑到可以使用三次谐波注入技术的情况。变压器匝比设计就是260V/380V的升压变压器。如果不使用谐波注入技术，逆变桥臂输出电压最高就只能设计到240V，而变压器就要换用240V/380V的匝比。

电池电压的高低同样会影响到逆变桥臂输出电压的设计。在工频机型UPS里面，电池是直接挂接到直流母线上的，所以必须保证电池放电结束前逆变桥臂仍然可以输出设定的电压。假如电池使用高频UPS电源常用的32节，那么当电池放电结束前直流母线电压会在320V附近，逆变桥臂输出电压最高可以设到210V。如果还是希望逆变桥臂输出电压达到260V，那么电池节数必须加到40节以上。
